Since SMART is one of the groups in the Seattle area sponsoring the
NWBrickCon, I'm hoping that many of us will be able to bring robots for
exhibits. Anything that looks like it would be interesting for others to
look at, especially if it can somehow be 'demo'd, would be appropriate.
Either way, the robots won't be handled by the public unless you give the
okay for this. For each robot, include a 3x5 card with your name, the
robot's name and description, and the words "Please do not touch" or "Handle
with care" on it. If it's okay to demo the robot, write brief instructions
on the back of the card for the people watching the tables. Make sure you
specify which program should be run.

The "Simon Says" robots will be a group display put on by SMART. If you
haven't decided if you'll build one of these yet, I encourage you to do so.
The more robots doing so, the better it will look.

At NWBrickCon Gus Jansson will be doing a talk on Lego Geometry - something
particularly relevant to building robots and other technic creations. If you
wish to sit in on this, or participate in any of the other events that
NWBrickCon has to offer, registration is a mere $10. It doesn't get cheaper
than that! Information can be found here:
http://www.sealug.org/nwbrickconregistration.html -- registrations should be
postmarked Sept 28th at the latest. There are earlier due dates if you'd
like to get a shirt (an additional cost, of course). So don't miss out!
Register soon.
