  NWBrickCon Info

Since SMART is one of the groups in the Seattle area sponsoring the NWBrickCon, I'm hoping that many of us will be able to bring robots for exhibits. Anything that looks like it would be interesting for others to look at, especially if it can (...) (22 years ago, 4-Sep-02, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Simon Says Robot

I appologize for not getting this out sooner. Here are the 'official' specs for the Simon Says robot.   Re: Meeting ideas

I'm willing to give a couple of presentations. What sort of presentations does everyone want to have? I'm starting to dig into the internals of the RCX, standard firmware and NQC. Does anyone want a presentation on that? I think the important part (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Re: Meeting ideas

(...) Personally I think it's a really good idea. The only question is, who is going to do the presentations? Volunteers are required. I don't want to have the same two or three people doing these over and over, it's not fair to them, as it can take (...) (22 years ago, 20-Jun-02, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Meeting ideas

Unfortunatly I will not be able to make the meeting next month. I have some ideas about possible improvments for the meetings.   Technic part that allows powered steering

For those who went to the SMART meeting on Saturday, I showed a robot frame I was working on ((URL) would allow wheels to be steered and powered at the same time.   May 2002 Meeting Notes

Re: Ideas for next RCX competition

(...) Thanks for the comments - but just so there's no confusion, the Workshop 3D RCX Challenge isn't sponsored or run by SMART. I'll make sure that Ray sees your comments.   Ideas for next RCX competition

I've now entered the last two contests, and seen the last three, and I'm getting some ideas on how it could potentialy be improved. Overall I still think it's a great contest, and run quite well.   Re: Challenge Ideas

Hi Nathan, (...) I like this idea. Another variation I have thought of is a "connect the dots" tracking. In this case the dots would be a fixed distance apart (maybe 3") and the direction could change by +- 90 (or less) degrees from dot to dot. (...) (22 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Challenge Ideas

I have a couple of ideas for a challege 1) Line tracking with occasional breaks in the line. The breaks could occur regularly after some distance and be of a given distance. 2) Find the "token".
