| This is my rendition of an ornithopter. I built it for today's Confusion convention. Its wingspan is about 30", it seats 4 minifigs and features jointed wings, movable tail and a passenger cabin that's able to stay level in flight regardless of the (...) | (...) Hal is a great guy! I enjoyed all his fiction, and meeting him in person. He was a regular guest at the SF con we ran in college. | (...) Good Lord! I love Hal Clement, not for fiction, but for the lovely "Alternative Life Designs" piece he wrote for a SETI book some 15 years ago. He's a personal hero, and I don't have many. | (...) Having recognizable Sci-Fi models is a very good idea. My ISSCV is recognizable from Space: Above and Beyond for example.
