Since Main St in Santa Monica is very busy Saturday I thought I should walk
people through the location. I assume most people will be coming from the 10
frwy. (those coming from the South just reverse directions) Following the
directions on the web site for The World Cafe, you will be going South on Main
St. First you will cross Ocean Park Blvd. Next street is Hill. In the middle
of the next block on the right is a parking lot. Also a lot across the street.
The World Cafe is at the end of the block on the right at the corner of Main
St. and Ashland.
You can pull in front of the lounge on Main St temporarily to unload, or make a
right on Ashland to unload. Ashland ends in the public lot that has meters, or
you can go through the lot back to Hill and go back down Main to the lot. The
restaurant will validate 2 hrs on the lot. At least with the lot you don't
have to worry about the meters. I think the meters are $.50/hr with 3 hr
limit. Also, SMPD loves J walkers on Main St. Hoping this information will
improve your experience at "Bricks By The Beach",
