Re: GBC group??? (and a sad story)

(...) Since its you posting, I feel I ought to make some comment about ball pumps etc ;) But I shall refrain. Yes, the design of these wonderful constructions, GBC modules, do have to be approached with a certain amount of care. Despite the inherent (...) (19 years ago, 30-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

GBC group??? (and a sad story)

Hey Steve et all... I think it's about time you lobby for a GBC group on Lugnet. I have been searching old posts, and checking out web sites... because after a few failed attempts at GBC I thought I would get some divine inspiration from the (...)   Re: T3 Board colors & rules

(...) Feel free to suggest options. This method actually only requires one open sensor port. As John pointed out, that port can also be used for a touch sensor so a person can play against the robot. Or you can use the port for other things, while (...) (19 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

Re: T3 Board colors & rules

(...) My concern with this approach is that your robot needs to use an output port and an input port just for communicating with the opponent. I haven't designed or considered my solution to the competition, but I might want my ports for other (...) (19 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Indy GTX & GBC

(...) Steve - you can probably count me in for the January show if you need me. I suspect the Duck can be made to look like something that goes with a train layout, along with my new conveyor (not the one I had in Chicago). So, keep me in the loop. (...)   Indy GTX & GBC

The GTX train show is coming up in January. IndyLUG usually uses the same layout as they used in October, so we have the same size area allocated. I'm pretty sure everyone has destroyed their modules. If you don't want to rebuild in the same size (...) (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

Re: T3 Board colors & rules

(...) No need to do that. My prototype sits completely behind the board. It doesn't extend along either side of the board. Speaking of which, I finished up the controls last night. I've just got a little bracing I'd like to do then it is on to (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

Re: T3 Board colors & rules

(...) I'm going to go with John on this. But only because I don't want him to have to start over, and I doubt it will affect Brian. :) (...) Sounds good. I have a BrickOS program that I made up to keep time. If I can find it, I'll post it. Steve (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

Re: T3 Board colors & rules

(...) LDraw is actually much easier to start using than I thought. The interface is a little cumbersome, but nice. The lego pieces practically snap into place (but not the technic pins & stuff, they're trickier). I have only scraped the surface of (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: T3 Board colors

(...) Someday I'll have to learn LDraw (or more likely LDD at this point). Very nice work John. It looks like it's one brick and one plate high? (...) I wish it was symmetric, but that can't work unless we make all the cells 6 wide. One point - we (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)
