Hi, everyone.
I got this letter in the mail the other day... a gentleman is looking for a LEGO
builder that can apprentice his son; to come in-home, build & tutor, etc. Sort
of like teaching piano lessons.
I told him I don't live in New York anymore, and he said I could pass his
personal info to you guys. Feel free to get in touch with him if you're
interested. His address is martin.kaminer@SPAMCAKEgmail.com

I've been looking at your website for a while and meaning to write but
now I see you're in Texas rather then New York. In any case maybe you
have some ideas.
This may sound weird (as a lot of letters you receive no doubt do),
but I'm looking for a master Lego builder to whom to apprentice my
son. He's' a Lego devotee; it consumes him day and night as a great
passion. He's only 5 but he builds models that are designed for
ten-year-olds and beyond (and Mozart was writing concertos at age five
in any case . . .).
I'm looking for someone who would be willing to spend an hour or two
(or more) a week with Gidon, for which we'd pay them, not doing
anything other than what the Lego master usually does. Gidon doesn't
need any special curriculum, the creation of any special exercises,
he'd just be thrilled to be witness to/play some small role in the
creation of master Lego projects. We'd pay on an hourly basis the
way you'd pay for piano lessons or anything else. But it wouldn't
have to be lessons. I thought that even might be a welcome source of
regular income for someone who works on a freelance basis.
I realize you're not here so it can't be you, but I thought you might
be able to recommend someone in the Lego community who might be local
and suitable. Gidon is a pretty amazing kid and he's certainly mature
enough to make this a great experience for both master and pupil.
This isn't about someone looking to become a Lego teacher to little
kids, it's about one unique kid and one special Lego builder. If you
know anyone who might be interested feel free to zip this along to
them or let me know and I'll contact them.
Best Regards,
Martin Kaminer
