Hey all,
I want to convice my mom to buy cable or DSL since I'm going to be living at
home for a year.  What ISP do you use to connect to the internet?  How much do
you pay?  What download/upload speeds do you get?  Are you happy with the
service?
Thanks,

I've got DSL.  Apk.net is my ISP, SBC is the provider.  768/128
download/upload.  I'm very happy with the service, and I very infrequently
have downtime.  $50 a month.

The only downside to Cable is that you're sharing bandwidth with everyone
else on your street who also has cable, but according to Troy, it may not be
an issue.  If your family doesn't have cable at the moment, DSL may be your
only option.  Honestly though, either way you go, you'll have more bandwidth
than you need.
