As you may recall at the last BayLUG meeting we agreed to hold a contest for
the January meeting. I want to remind you that there's still time to build
your entry, and to let you know more about the contest:
WHO: All members of BayLUG are welcome to participate
WHAT: Build one or more models of your own design with 100 pieces or less
WHERE: Fukaya Room, Fremont Library
WHEN: Saturday, January 5, starting at 10:00 AM
WHY: To win fabulous prizes
FAQ:
Q. Hey, did he say PRIZES?
A. Yes, that's right... I will be bringing prizes. I have some rare
Japanese Coca-Cola promos (sorry, not the very rare 6-packs of Coke bottles)
to offer as prizes. I'm offering three of these; the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
place contestants get to pick their favorites (in that order).
Q. How many can I enter?
A. As many as you want. With each entry you get one vote. However, you can
only win once; if two of your models get the two highest votes, you get 1st
prize, but 2nd prize goes to someone else.
Q. How many pieces does a minifig count as?
A. Head, Hair/hat/etc., backpack (if any) torso with arms, and legs all
count as separate pieces, just like they do on Lego sets' official piece counts.
Q. What types of models can I bring?
A. Anything that is 100 pieces or less, that has been built since the last
BayLUG meeting.
Q. How much time do I have to work on this again?
A. You've had since October's meeting to work on this, but I forgot to send
out anything before now detailing the rules. I apologize for any inconvenience.
