I don’t really need either, but without a sensor, you have to tell the bot it’s its turn by crossing a wire, which is less intuitive. And a baseplate will make the whole thing more stable.

I’ll try and remember to bring one to the hobby show on Saturday.

I realised just today that I should probably get a touch sensor for the hobby show. Also, I should probably stick my bot on a baseplate.
