Being a complete newbie in this area, perhaps someone can shed some light.
The sales rep spoke about Command 2000, able to control up to 10 trains, and
an N-scale decoder.
Command 2000 - $230.00
Decoder - $44.00
The command 2000 is suppose to plug into the transformer for the track.  In
my youth I had an HO set and know how to plug the Command 2000 into the
transformer.  How would you do that for the LEGO Train controller?
Anyone know a website that has a setup for LEGO Trains and a DCC?
I know Calums' enthused about this :)
And I'm getting there.

In the situation proposed by your vendor, you'd hack the 2x2 end of the 9V
track lead off, and screw into the wire terminals of the HO transformer.

Well, in the setup I'm proposing, the transformer is the booster, the PC
interface does the job of the Command2000 (MRC?).  As a result, the control
end should be relatively cheap, the only real cost is the decoder.  Check
this out:

For the plans to the PC IF we want to build.
