Procrastination is amazing, isn't it?
I finally sat down to finish and test my robot. First I cleared a spot
on my desk; then I printed out labels for all my new sorting
containers. Then I rearranged a few, and did a little more sorting.
Then I took out my robot, ran it up onto the box a few times.
Then I fiddled with this and that.
Then I spent 3 hours building a Merry-Go-Round for Train 4.5
Oops.
Critics will be pleased to hear that it contains no fewer than 8 gears,
7 axles and a small number of crankshaft pieces, and that the two
birdies, dragon and llama all carry a minifig each and go up and down
quite nicely.
It fits into an 18x18 space, plus motor and loading/unloading area, and
is brightly coloured.
It runs for about 2-3 minutes on a capacitor charge. (there's a lot more
load than there is on the ferris wheel)
It is currently being hogged by pirates. Apparently it's Pirate's Day at
the fair.
I'll see about posting pics tomorrow.
Ah well, perhaps the robot will get finished tomorrow night....
