YF23A project and DDK part request

As I mentioned to a few people last night, I'm planning on building a model
of the Northrop YF23A Advanced Tactical Fighter. Tonight I got started and
built the huge tailplane/elevator surfaces, laid out the engine/cooling
fantail, and main wing shapes. Those were relatively easy. I'm eyeballing
dimensions off of about twenty or so photos I found off aviation websites.
I'm not sure if I can finish it, the scale I've chosen is, simply frickin
huge-I might not have enough gray pieces to model PAV-1 "Gray Ghost", I
certainly don't have enough black wings to build PAV-2 "Black Widow".
Simply laying out the wings, I've used nearly every grey 45 degree wing in
my Space collection.
I'm troubled by how to build the cockpit/nose area (I wimped out and built
the relatively easy tail/wing sections because they're stealthily laid out
in flat parallel angles) because the YF23 glass looks different than
anything I have in terms of Lego cockpits. I also had some difficulty
thinking of a way to articulate the tailplanes: The real YF23A has these
huge tail surfaces which pivot at a single point. That's relatively easy.
However, they're also at 50 degrees against the horizontal plane. It's not
clear (without video) of where that point actually was.
One part I am looking for is one some of you DDK purchasers might have:

If someone has one they'd like to trade for say, some of the other DDK
weirdities (ie, the panel pieces in

love to get them.
If not, I suppose I could buy one of those Throwbots to get this leg piece,
(and get a big 40tooth gear in the process) but I'd rather not buy a Throwbot :)
