From what I understand you want to check out the new Programming Blocks,
correct? But believe me that software its not worth the money it will cost
you, especially since youre learning NQC now. I strongly advice you not to
spend any time on RIS2.0, because Im possessive you wont be needing it as
soon as you get to know a real programming language. Instead try
concentrating your efforts on RCX coding and scripting, and NQC is a great
start!
As far as the actual RCX2.0 firmware goes - you can download the whole
package from the web:
http://mindstorms.lego.com/sdk2/default.asp
Run ATLClient.exe and click 'New Firmware'
Here are some more great links you should check out to get you going with NQC:
The official NQC website. Look under Documentation for an awesome NQC
Programmer's Guide:
http://www.enteract.com/~dbaum/nqc/index.html
The RCX Command Center. One of the best NQC programming GUI assistants,
definitely worth a look:
http://www.cs.uu.nl/~markov/lego/rcxcc/index.html
Visual NQC. Another great middle-man proggie for NQC programming:
http://home.hetnet.nl/~myweb1/Index.html
General C/C++ programming tutorials/tips, some of which can be applied to NQC:

Good luck!

| (...) Ivan forgot to mention the best NQC programming GUI assistant (aka IDE) available for the MS operating systems today: Bricx Command Center. This IDE, an enhanced version of Mark Overmar's original RCX Command Center, is definitely worth a look (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

| Hello, I'm Greg Hyland, who entered "Buy the Batteries in Bulk" (and was the only one who used Lego's RIS1.0 software), and was at the last train event. I was wondering, is there anyone in rtltoronto, and in Toronto perferably, who wants to sell me (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
