Ikea: Iviken, Non

I picked up two Iviken's (one for me, one as a gift for parents) and a Non
tonight. I'm very impressed with the Iviken. The Non is a little less than I
expected, but it's less than $10 and I supose if I bought four I could
really do something rather lovely with them.

I'm seeing what Calum has mentioned (and cautioned) about Ikea products. I
do like the design, and the prices are very reasonable, but the
quality/methods of production are obviously optimised for quantity and in
some cases I can see where the quality was compromised. Although, how
complex need a glass cube with a plastic internal base be?

The subway is funny with 2 year olds. I took my best friend's daughter from
Kipling to High Park tonight, and she liked to stand. Then she fell over
when the train decelerated. She laughed. Then an old woman scolded us, and I
told her to shut the #@%( up.

Lamb - Gorecki

"could we stay right here? 'till the end of time?
'till the earth stops turning?
wanna love you 'till the seas run dry
i've found the one...
i've waited for..."

<intro strings>

I turned down a game of Monopoly tonight. I don't understan that game at
all.

It's been such an odd evening...
