Yes, the TRU in Times Square has a Pick a Brick, or did when I went last year. I bought a bag of white window frames and filled the rest with grey jumper plates.
I did a number of touristy things there including:
-Watching the sun rise on the Brooklyn Bridge*
-Looked out the top of the Empire State building
-Went to the Museum of Modern Art*
-Visited Times Square*
-Saw a musical (Sweet Charity) on Broadway*
-Visited the Met
-Walked the wrong way through the Guggenheim
-Went to eat hot dogs at Coney Island
-Rode the subway
-Ate in Little Italy
-Went to Grand Central Station
The *'s are recommended.
