Hey, thanks for the link-
Yeah, ZNAP is pretty cool-I originally thought it was kinda useless, but
I've grown to love it. I own four 3571 (Blackmobile, apparently it's
called) plus the contents of another two or three minus the motors/electrics
(from Chris, thanks!) and I've built a relatively long span of about six
feet with multiple piers for support (ie, not a free span) I could also see
them being useful for large train stations.
They're also useful for various Technic applications, especially the curved
pieces. You can use them as guides for blockstacking (as Chris and Ka-On
Lee have done) too. Of course, the obvious benefit is the motor and cable
plus the flaxles (flexible axles). I tried using the flaxles on a project
but was driven away by their high friction when put into tight angles. They
really only work well when the two ends are parallel or in a light curve.
The only bad thing about ZNAP is that the spacing is set EXACTLY too small
for two tracks side by side or one alone, depending on which beam/spar
length you use for the crossmembers.
