Laser all the way, I agree. No more inkjet for me. And better than that, the
toner carts for this old LJ1100 are only $75.

It's defintely an 80 wire, and the plugs are I think grey and black, so yes, I
think it's the right type of CS cable which sets shorts the correct pin.

Well for that matter, real men have the vendor install it for you on a service
contract :)

This IS unfortunately a desktop computer, a WD800JB attached to a Asus A7V-400MX
motherboard. :(
The first thing when I took delivery of my Dell Precision was to unjumper all
the drives from CS to hard set Master and Slaves.
