That is so awesome. I am dying to know how it sucks itself to walls. I think it has some crazy fan/suction device underneath. Its great how it can climb without relying on smooth surfaces. With that kind of suction, I’m surprised it has a 20-40 minute run time.

In related news, an article on a robot that walks on water http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040910/ap_on_sc/water_walking_robot_1 leads us to the CM Nano Robotics lab http://www.me.cmu.edu/faculty1/sitti/nano/projects/ and the Waalbots http://www.me.cmu.edu/faculty1/sitti/nano/projects/waalbots/.

They talk about “dry adhesion” based on gecko hair http://www.me.cmu.edu/faculty1/sitti/nano/projects/geckohair/
