So, JeffVW and Derek decide to fill in all the water after Jeff's dam in the
lower section of train6m with blue bricks on side.  Perhaps they wanted to be
all German-y and be SNOT like.

So in turn, I have to fill out all of my modules with on-side blue.   Except, I think I have one of the larger water segments in the layout, equalling about 5x 48x48 baseplates solid to fill.  Instead of flopping down some 32x32 blue baseplates, I'm manually laying out THOUSANDS of blue 1xN pieces.   I'm now on my second 48x48 of this, and let me tell you.  I spent most of the day finding blue constructions and destroying them for 1xN blue bricks:  Some little blue houses I made four years ago, half of a Town building I never finished for train2, the smaller Toronto Star banner that we were photographed holding on the inner page of the Star article...It was somewhat cathartic I guess.

Griping aside, I have to admit the effect is really nice.  And while a lot of
the bricks are fading or discolouring, the effect makes it look like the water
has some depth gradients to it.  Installing mounting points for the train
causeway and shorelines is fun too...a bit of thinking goes into putting in snot
pieces, spinners, etc to get them to sit just right.

I just wish I had more blue.  Maybe crack open more of those 4107's.

Calum
