From a non-AFOL no less I got these really nice prints of the Toy Building Brick
patent filed by Godtfred Kirk Christiansen in 1958.

Here's a pic of the prints I received:

For those interested in the patent in general, it is readily available many
places online.  Here is a scanned pdf of it at freepatentsonline:

Jason,

Thanks very much for sharing this... especially the link to the .pdf itself.  I
have searched (without success) for exactly this file for a long time.

I've seen the image on eBay (people selling copies made by themselves) but have
never been able to see it full size, nor have a copy of it for myself.  This
will be printed out and hung up in my cubicle at work.  :)

Anyway, I was so excited I just had to share!

I'm really glad you did.  Thanks again!

Best regards,
Allan B.

Allen, Jason: I have been collecting information about Lego patents for several years, and this is my favorite. The original patent is Danish: DK92683C. Legetøjsbyggeelement. Filed 28 Jan 1958, Granted 29 Jan 1962. This was also amended by patent (...) (20 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.general)
