Hello to all,

I'm proud to announce MonLUG's first participation in a Montreal Area train
show. It will be held at Georges-Vanier High School in Laval (just north of
Montreal) on Saturday, November 10th from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, November
11th from 10am to 4pm. The school is at 3995 Lévesque est in Laval.

Several out-of-town guests are expected. They include Calum Tsang and Iain
Hendry from RTL Toronto and Tim Strutt and Jude Beaudin from Parlugment in
Ottawa.
We will also be holding MonLUG's montly meeting on that Saturday evening at
a local restorant.

Here are some maps to get to the school:

Highlites of the layout include a mountain, town, coal mine and lots of trains.

Anyone in the area that wishes to attend or bring some rolling stock is welcome.

Thank you,

Kevin Zwicker

MonLUG,

Great job on the maps. I am glad to see it is on our side of the city. :-)

Tim,

It starts at 10am and we should have a trip of about 90 minutes. Factoring
in our ability to leave on time, the drag coefficient of your car, the
weight of the rolling stock, wind speed, construction, normal traffic, the
average amount of roadkill per kilometer, the amount of time it will take to
order the Tim Hortons coffee... I think we should leave yesterday at 9:34 am.

Jude

(...) I must agree. Those maps look like they will make it easy to find the show. Thanks very much. (...) ROFLMAO!!! Haha. Very funny. You forget the most important factor, the fact that I drive faster than the speed of light. Therefore we can leave (...) (23 years ago, 7-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.monlug, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment)
