Re: NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(...) Sadly, I've got no revolutionary new assembly technique to share here. It's just a bunch of 1x1x4 antennae for stanchions, with the long plastic piping found on podracers snipped to length for the handrail, and a wee tiny dollop of "ShooGoo" (...)   Re: more SW UCS sets (was Re: after action report)

(...) OK - I got you one of each. A "mere" $300, (that's $200 in real money for any yanks reading this) and we can knock another $35 off if you can dig up those mania mag. coupons. It would be interesting to find out how many TRU has sold in total (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Re: I'm a Dad!

(...) Congratulations! She's OK even though she's under 6 lbs I trust? That seems low weight to me, but I admit I know very little about babies - haven't even had the chance to try and make one. ;-) (Sure hope that changes soon.) Very good of her to (...)   Re: I'm a Dad!

CONGRATULATIONS! Make sure the little one is holding a Duplo block within a day or so, just to get her started on a good thing early. ;-) (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.people, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  I'm a Dad!

:) Riana Kalen showed up at 11:17 PM last night, at 5 lbs, 15 ounces. Mother and baby are doing fine. :) (so don't expect any coherent messages from me about the next train show for a while, guys...) James (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.people, lugnet.org.ca.nalug) !

Re: NALUG takes 2nd at Great Edmonton Train Show

(...) Well considering that train bridges are currently the prime focus of StRuCtures, it's a natural for NALug to showcase them. The simple monorail one at the show last week was a basic concept test - larger and more elaborate ones are on the way. (...)   Re: New Interurban/Trolley model, perfect for those downtown scenes

(...) Just wanted to point out that the quoted words up there are Chris Gray's. Chris's sig made me laugh, and that is all I commented about. Chris (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Michel Magnan wrote in message ... (...) one. (...) allow (...) beams (...) Did I here someone say "Technic beams"? :-] There are numerous ways to get the necessary clearance, and Technic beams would certainly do it. Also, the second bridge could (...)   Big buildings

If we're going to make a bigger and better layout, we're going to need bigger and better buildings. I'm thinking John would make a skyscraper with crane under construction, and James would make some buildings along these lines... (URL) can make (...)
