Re: New Aus Catalog mentions AFOLS (Was Re: 2000.2 Catalogue now out :)

I've given up considering myself a builder, I'm a collector who would like to build once I've got at least one good example of every set in every theme I'm interested in. Mark H. (...) (24 years ago, 12-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.au)

Re: New Aus Catalog mentions AFOLS (Was Re: 2000.2 Catalogue now out :)

(...) I dunno. It only mentions adults as collectors. While I must admit to having a large collection of LEGO sets, even some unopened, I don't consider myself a collector. I buy LEGO sets only to be able to build more. At least that's what I keep (...) (24 years ago, 12-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.general)

  Re: Would it be fair?

Up to you, mate. Not one for others to decide on, especially since you own the set you're trading. Personally, I read everything based on a POV that if I've got it and you/they want it, and have what I want in return, that we can trade. It's never (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.au)

Re: 2000.2 Catalogue now out :)

Hi Benjamin, having seen the AUS version now, I think it's basically the same 2000.2 catalogue as the german [-European?] one, but there are also a couple of differences however. Nearly on every page you will find something which is slightly (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.general)

Re: 2000.2 Catalogue now out :)

(...) Okay..after quite a few uploading problems, the catalogue is roughly half there. I'll hopefully have the other half up by tomorrow [it's 3 AM saturday, so that should give me a bit extra time] night, and will post a message when complete...my (...)   Re: 9v train regulators anyone?

Hi Santosh, I've got a few lying around, how much are you offering? Mark H. (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.au)

Re: More sexism from Lego (Was Re: 2000.2 Catalogue now out :)

(...) Well, after their intermediate catalogue down here: (URL) wasn't expecting anything great from them. Also, if you look at the green box on page 16, it's talking about GIRLS and starting to use PRIMO...Absolutely no mention of boys. Benjamin (...)   Re: 2000.2 Catalogue now out :)

Okay...I'm currently uploading the rest of the catalogue. [I've only just finished scanning it.] Depending on how long it takes, it may or may not be finished this morning. [It's 12:45 ] I'll post a message when I finishh for the night, along with (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.general)

Re: More sexism from Lego (Was Re: 2000.2 Catalogue now out :)

(...) I snipped a bunch of stuff for brevity, but I just wanted to say that I had a peek at the catalogue before Deidre even posted yesterday, and I saw the line about how boys could play with the soccer- err, I mean, football sets, and it (...)   Re: More sexism from Lego (Was Re: 2000.2 Catalogue now out :)

HEAR HEAR!!!!!! I couldn't agree more Dierdre, this is the kind of thing that really gets my hackles up. Put it this way, if Mindstorms is perhaps the kind of thing that parents would usually not consider for a girl ( speaking of the "average" (...)
