Hey all,

To formalize things, our little e-newsletters will henceforth be called NYCLUG Notes 169. Whaddya think?

Our last mini-meeting was last week, as a few of us got together at my humble abode for a little sorting and building. :-) The group was small, but for those who were able to tough out a long-ass trip to Staten Island, I would say (and I would hope THEY would say) that it was all worth it.

Not much got done in the way of business -- unless of course you count playing as business, in which case PLENTY got done. Pictures have yet to be posted -- along with a couple of Columbus Day weekend Lego finds -- but they should be up on Bricklink (deep-linked) by tomorrow. Sorry, I’ve been so busy.

One matter that was discussed at the last NYCLUG meet was the possibility of a build event, perhaps November, or around holiday time. Kent has tipped me off to something out in Suffolk County -- that’s out on Long Island, for you not familiar with these shores -- and we’re looking into that. I believe that many (if not most) of you would prefer something in Manhattan, and we’re looking to make that happen too. Stay tuned.

We also now have a website that is REALLY under construction --- www.nyclug.4t.com -- which will do nicely until we finally get around to getting a banner-free domain name. There’s one group pic from our last meeting, so check it out -- if you dare! :-)

So -- dare I ask -- when do we all think we can meet again, prior to the build event (if there is one)? I’ll be posting this to LUGNET -- but hopefully, no internecine drama this time. :-)

Thanks all, and

Play well,
