Well I seem to be able to post new messages here now - I think the problem was I hadn't understood the format that I had to use to type in which newsgroup I was posting to if I do it from the web page (URL) still (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-99, to lugnet.off-topic.test)

However, when you filled out the news- posting setup, you told the server that your newsreader would be sending a spamblocked e-mail (...)
