Is it possible to maintain a thread in lugnet.off-topic.test?
Probably.  =)
Almost certainly.
Here the proof...  ;-)
Wow. It's actually working.
A thread in lugnet.off-topic.test is indeed possible!  (Though totally
useless...)
It does work!  How long can we keep this up?
I want to say "too long", but that'd be perpetuating a cascade. In a
test group. Ouch. I need to get a life.

Nothing wrong with cascades. :)

There seems to be a consistently resurgent desire to have actual threads
here.  Witness a well-meaning one-post-long thread at
<http://www.lugnet.com/off-topic/test/?n=1245>, linguistic silliness starting
at <http://www.lugnet.com/off-topic/test/?n=1198>, the obvious at
<http://www.lugnet.com/off-topic/test/?n=1168>, some je ne sais quoi at
<http://www.lugnet.com/off-topic/test/?n=1171>, and an incredible 7-message-
long insurgent thread at <http://www.lugnet.com/off-topic/test/?n=1165>.  But
this thread is holding at 10 messages long.  Hee...

Shall we hold a contest to see who can maintain or help maintain a thread
here?  Everybody write the silliest or most attention-grabbing message you can
and see how many replies it generates.
