There are a LOT of different missing persons databases out there, making it hard
to search them all if you're a relative or one of the missing, so someone came
up with the idea of consolidating the info. See:
http://192.122.183.218/wiki/index.php/PeopleFinderVolunteer for info
and key in some data if you want to. Do some checking first of course, but it
seems legit and useful to me.

If you work carefully, transcribing a page of entries (25) will take you a half
hour, and might help reunite some people.

you'll have to register at that wiki to mark the page you're transcribing to
avoid duplication...

So many people volunteered to help with this that the load from many many simultaneous connections apparently took the New Orleans Network (where the data is being collated) DB server down, they're upgrading and said they'd be back up soonish.
