    Windows Server 2003 vs. Windows XP Professional —Bram Lambrecht
   Are there any advantages to using Windows Server 2003 instead of XP Pro on a personal computer? ...and please don't tell me to install Linux...I need my Windows software. (19 years ago, 24-Jul-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

     (...) I have no experience with WS2003, but I do think that XP is the best version of windows you might run. I doubt any of the 'server' features would be useful on a personal desktop, like Active Directory, IIS and other such server software. (...) (...)
