Free DVD screen capture utility?

I'm looking for a good (free) DVD screen capture utility for Windows. I recall
having success using Print Screen before, but this time around the window is
turning up blank when I paste into Photoshop. I'm using an older verison of
WinDVD that would have been released fall 2001.
After a brief search online, I have only found capture utilities which can be
purchased for a fee, not free ones. While capturing these shots is important to
me, it's not important enough for me to drop $30+ on. Does anyone know of a free
utility which can do the job? I'm running Win2k.
