Hmm. Now that's an interesting theory. I see support in the Animatrix short
Beyond: agents have to come in to fix the glitch in the "haunted house."
Sysadmins would just fix it. OTOH, in the first movie, when Neo experiences
deja vu with the cat, one of the characters explains it as "they changed the
Matrix." 'They' could be sysadmins, although it looks like they have very
limited capabilities (changed the windows to walls). I'm not familiar with
networking techonologies, but I see cases for and against this theory.
Only a few more months of speculation to go. Then we get more material to work
with. Whee!
