BROADCAST TRANSCRIPT:
"U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, who oversaw the settlement
between Microsoft and the U.S. Department of Justice, issued a formal
statement to the public and press earlier today, stating that the acceptance
of the MS/DOJ settlement was a ruling made with extreme error.

Kollar-Kotelly stated that her earlier ruling was a mistake and that it was
quote "issued after the defendant offered bribes to individuals residing
within the Department of Justice in an effort to secure a settlement that
would allow the company to maintain its illegal monopoly in software and
operating systems."

Kotelly continued, "I am coming forward now to correct this gross injustice
and to state that a remedy, not a settlement will be issued immediately and
will be issued by myself along with former US District Judge, Judge Thomas
Penfield Jackson." End Quote.

Judge Kotelly stated that the new ruling would consist of elements
previously proposed by Judge Jackson along with other sanctions that were
proposed by the nine non-settling states.

Elements to the new remedy will include the breakup of the software
monopolist into 3 parts consisting of Internet, Software and Operating
System. Judge Kotelly said that code from each of these will be made
available to the public by way of the General Public License.

In closing remarks, Judge Kotelly stated that pending Lawsuits from Sun
Netscape and Be will be settled by the liquidation Microsoft's cash assets
to be divided equally.

Leaked rumors of the press event were first made known by way of News for
Nerds Web site Slashdot, only 20 minutes before Judge Kotelly began her
speech. The leaked news brought about onlookers in the thousands.

Upon concluding the press event, Judge Kotelly's words were met with a loud
roar of acceptance by the crowd, with many chanting the phrase, Justice
Served!, Justice Served!, Justice Served!

Microsoft was not available for comment."

The news couldn't have come on a better date, either!
