Before your question can be properly answered, here are a few questions first...

What is your system hard drive configuration (in particular hard drive
partitions)? Do you want to keep any data on the O/S partition? Do you have
a backup medium (Zip drive, CD-R/RW, free space on a second harddrive or
partition, etc...)? Do you have several hours (for reinstalling Win 98 and
your applications)? Do you have a copy of all the hardware drivers that are
not on the Windows CD (this one is very important, especially if you have an
obscure NIC and only a high speed connection, it's not like you can download
the drivers after you format. You can say I learned my lesson on this one
<grin>)?
