I just solved a problem I was having.... this may help someone else!
Recently (as in the last 2 weeks) I installed an ethernet card and
cable modem, I upgraded to Direct-X 8, I replaced my aged Celeron300a
with a Celeron-II 600, and installed Lego Vision command.
Then today I noticed some of my SBLIVE! apps weren't working
quite right. Some of the Creative applications such as Mixer and
Speakers would not load and issued a "failed to load plugin" error.
Lava gave the error that no SBLIVE! was installed in my system.
Knowing it was indeed in there, I proceeded to un install and
reinstall all my Creative drivers with no luck. I read through pages
of Faqs on Creatives website with no luck.
Finally I started monkeying around in Device Manager looking at
every setting for the sound card and noticed under "sound video and
game devices" that a "Lego Cam Microphone" item was there. I ripped
the USB cable from my OC, and away it went. It was amazing, suddenly
everything was back to working again!
Whew now I can sleep :)
