| I'm using the squirm redirector together with squid to block banner ads. Netscape Navigator for Unix tries to load any URL which you paste into the browser window. | (...) Won't work like that, 'cause Squid is pretty strict about the validity of hostnames. (Technically, they shouldn't start with a number, either, but I guess it's not that strict.) You could use something like "q7121", though. (25 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
