Well Shiri i discoverd that switching to an altered e-mail addie every 3
months for a year tends to reduce spam-don't ask why but it works

Sure. It takes them a little while to find your address somewhere and stick
you on lists. I've toyed with setting up a scheme whereby the addresses I
use publicly auto-expire after 30 days...

yah, but won't it be a pain to resubscribe to all the mailing lists you
read with a new email address every 30 days?  I guess that could be
automated as well...  hmm....  Have you thought of filtering with ORBs
or RBL?  I havn't reached that point yet, to activly avoid spam - I just
report it, and move on...

(...) I try to avoid subscribing to mailing lists. That's what NNTP is for. :) (...) I mostly just add it to my procmail rules. I used to be very active in reporting these things, but it started to wear on me, y'know? (24 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
