(...) Oh, no argument there. MS's cert stuff is certainly a cash cow for them, and so pitifully unprofessional compared to other companies' like Novell's. NT 4 came out when - 1996? Any nice easy way to make a string all lower case? ("nice easy way" being defined as being less than 5 lines...)I seem to remember being able to use 'pack' to do that in some fashion or another... and of course I foolishly tried: "$string =~ (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

A+ is worth it only if your employer pays for it. Doesn't get you anything as far as hiring purposes. If you've used computers since you were a child, you should pass this in 5 minutes.
