Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea

During the last month or so I've caught bits of this show before leaving for
work in the morning.  I'd guess that I've seen pieces of 10 or 12 episodes,
and I am not exaggerating to say that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM involved some
sort of alien/deep-sea/enemy-nation doppelganger masquerading as the Cap'n
or the Admiral.  What's the deal?  Does nothing else happen under the waves?
Is this sort of thing still a danger when our subs cross the ocean?  And
whatever happened to the Crunchberry Beast?

Man, you think that's bad, wait the extra hour and watch "Land of the Giants". Crew of a spaceship fall thru a wormhole and crash in a wooded area of a planet filled with giant humans (who conviently speak English). Just about every episode has them (...)
