Well, Detroit has to be in order to preserve its high moral
standards and safe streets from that Canadian rabble...why,
if not for the Thin Line of Customs Officers, those murderous
Canucks would invade and plunder our beautiful, peace-loving
city!
Me Bizarro LFB, make funny joke! Ha Ha!

Gashai? Or geisha girls? ("Gashai" sounds like a Freudian slip.)
In Leiden (Netherlands), I saw the most amazing spectacle:
the 400-year "Japan in Leiden" celebration, complete with
Dutch women dressed up as geishas. Most of the Japanese
with whom I spoke either thought it was funny or downright
offensive--but I guess it's no more so than people dressing
up as Zwarte Piet, something that just would SO not fly in
the United States (even if you *are* Ted Danson or Whoopi
Goldberg). It most certainly *is* a foreign country.

PS: Richard, I think we ought to start a list of people who
need their heads stepped upon. It's been a looooooooong
week for me, so I have some names. :)

| (...) This Canuck already does that 5 times a week. Only instead of "plundering" I call it "going to work" :] KDJ ___...___ LUGNETer #203, Windsor, Ontario, Canada (23 years ago, 10-Jun-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
