SKYSCRAPER RIDE INJURES FOUR AT NJ AMUSEMENT PARK

(Wednesday, December 13, 2000) - Four people were injured at Family
Fun Farm in NJ when a zoo animal escaped from the Wild Safari Park
and attacked patrons on the Skyscraper ride.

The Skyscraper type of ride has two seats which are at each end of a
long arm.  The rotating motion of the arm causes the seats to flip
throughout the ride cycle, sending riders upside-down over and over
again.

Witnesses say a large cat attacked the ride suddenly throwing two
passengers, identified only as Barbie and Skipper, out of their seats
and to the ground.  They were saved from being attacked by the cat
when the other end of the rides arm came around and struck the cat by
the seats occupied by two other patrons identified only as Ken and
Ken.  The cat was propelled over 20 feet clearing a sofa and coffee
table upon impact.

The investigators are trying to determine whether materials or
construction practices could have contributed to the accident.  The
materials were manufactured by K'NEX Industries of Hatfield
Pennsylvania and constructed on site by JenKaren Construction.

Bhupesh Mattel of K'NEX stated "We sent them the necessary materials
to built two rollercoasters and a ferris wheel.  Family Fun Farm took
it upon themselves to build a ride we never designed or tested.  We
cannot be held responsible."

The lawyer representing JenKaren Construction, Tyrone Hasbro, replied
with the statement "Yo, they send you blueprints that clearly show you
can build more than one ride with their materials.  So, like, did they
say we could NOT build a Skyscraper?  No way bro!"

Park owner Sandy Nicolaysen said "It's unfortunate that some of the
animals escape, but we are not alone in this problem.  A colleague at
another park, Stew Dawg, had one of his rollercoasters attacked by a
large cat the same way just recently.  We will repair the ride and get
it back in operation.  We have $122 invested in the Skyscraper ride
and that's more than our competition Longworld invested in their park
in the last five years."

The accident is still under investigation.
