Were Gore to actually win, these would almost instantly jump in value. There
is a photo of Truman holding up a newspaper with the headline "Dewey Defeats
Truman!" (Truman, of course, won that election) and copies of that paper are
now pretty valuable.
Of course, given all the controversy around this election, I don't think it
will be *as* valuable. The headline above was just lazy journalism- Truman
clearly won that election, but the editors assumed that Dewey would win,
because he was leading the polls.
So it's not a direct corrolation.
