Some news:
~ Not all PSX games will work on the PSX2. Those that don't use specific
hardware in the original system. Sony will be releasing a list of most of the
incompatible games (I don't think it will be a very long list). I'm not sure
if this is a rumor or not.
~ The PSX2 will include a Texture Interpolation function that will improve the
3D graphics on some PSX games.
~ The Japanese PSX2 will come with a DVD System Card that plugs into the
memory card slot and allows the the user to view DVDs. Unconfirmed Rumors
indicate this card will allow the system to view DVDs from Territories 1, 2,
and 3. Later this year, Sony will release a DVD Remote Control for the system.
~ The DVD drive will be upgradable, by upgrading the Firmware.

Oh, and I'd suggest pre-ordering it. I've been adding a couple bucks a month
to mine each month, so when it does come out, I only have to pay about half the
price. :) Also, you're practically guarenteed a copy (unless the Home Office
screws up). Price is between $249.99 and $299.99.

I thought the DVD was built right in, they will have a card for it? I thought the controller was supposed to be the (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.off-topic.fun)
