Oh that was the time...mine had a cost of exact 1250$ (in 1992) including 15%
tax and had:
386SX 16 cpu with appropriate mathco
1 MB RAM (not even as 30 pin simms, but as 44256 individual chips)
an Oak 067 VGA card with 256 KB of mem
40 MB HDD (seagate st-157-A, with an amzing 500 KB per sec. data transfer
rate..:-)
a 3.5" and a 5.25" (yes..) floppy drives
a mono VGA 13" Display
and...nothing else..
In two years time, it became a cyrix 486/33 with a 6 meg. of ram, with: a
trident 880(?) VGA with 1 meg of ram (again 44256's), and a 420 MB Fujitdu HDD
(was disgusting) and still a mono VGA display...:-) then I garduated...and all
the things had just started.
