That metric thing can really get you if you don't remember it. Walking past
a gas station in Germany a couple of years ago I checked out the prices and
converted from marks to dollars. It looked about $1.25 a gallon, which
wasn't bad. Then I realized that wasn't per gallon, it was per liter, which
made it about $5 a gallon. Wow.
