That's how I read it.  But the version of the joke I heard had Moses' ball
drop into the pond, whereupon he parted the water in the pond and went down
into it to take his next shot, which went on the green.  Then Jesus sinks
His second shot from the surface of the water (putting Him one ahead of
Moses).
