I've set up (but am not currently using; probably will again soon) DNEWS
(http://www.netwinsite.com/) to do this. It's a commercial non-open product
and as such probably isn't a good option for everyone. (It is really good,
though, and works on a _ton_ of different operating systems.)

Kinda pricey, though, at least with respect to how I would want to be using it (allowing me and my wife and maybe a couple others to read news on my Linux box).
