isn't particularly of a debating nature)....

Actually, in this particular case, I think the truck riding up onto my vehicle
may have saved me some injury. Of course if the truck had had a bit more
energy, I would have been a gonner for sure. In this case, the truck riding up
on my vehicle probably reduced the force of impact significantly. If he had
hit my bumber solidly, I think a lot less metal would have crushed.
