Greetings to all,
Have been following this debate for a while and I thought I'd through in my 2
cents.  Don't know if you guys are familiar with World Cup Soccer (I certainly
am not), but it is definetly not a sport played exclusively by "white" folk.
What I'm driving at is that Lego has released those soccer buses in a few
colors and each bus come with stickers so kids can decorate their bus to
represent they're favorite county's team etc.  Now surely the teams that are
represented do include players from just about every conceiveable color that a
human being can have.  I've only seen the blue bus and don't remember the
countires it could represent, but every minifig is yellow.  Things that make
you go hmmm....

Hey, I had the exact same thought.  I'm trying to create the minifig version
of the Colorado Rapids.  3 of their 5 forwards are Central American, one is
African, one is African-American, and one is Caucasian.  I just grabbed 5 of
my minifgs with the right color torsos and slapped the stickers on them and
said "Great, I've got Dely Valdes, Zambrano, Agogo, Okoh, and Bravo but how am
I going to do Paule's white-blonde hair..."  What I'm trying to say is that I
didn't think twice that 4 of those 5 guys should have been dark-skinned,
they're LEGO guys and as such, they're yellow. Yes it will be harder for the
Rapids Fan Club to identify who's who in the stadium I creating and will post
pictures of, but that's life!
