(...) Point taken. A standard auction can turn into a dutch auction if market conditions change. Why is that bad? Those calling for "orderly markets" are usually just about to do something stupid like slap price controls or tariffs or unrealistic (...) (26 years ago, 10-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
