I take that comment I made about "no homophobic remarks" earlier in the
thread back.

Are you going to deny that the average heterosexual finds the thought of gay
sex repulsive?  I've heard the same sentiment from (non-bi) gay men about
hetero-sex!  And this has nothing to do with a pathologically diagnosed
phobia, so give the epithet "homophobe" a rest.

I heartily dislike accusations like homophobe or racist at the mere hint of
disagreement - it is a dishonest form of argument by attack and intimidation.
I don't use the words cheaply, in part so that when I do say it carries more
weight.

You have given a different emphasize to you statement above than you did
originally: you originally said that heteros find gay's behaviour repulsive.
I'm not interested in sexual activity with men - if you want to call that
"repulsed", so be it.  But that is not the same thing as finding what they do
between themselves as repulsive.

I'm kinda with Bruce o nthis one--I mean there are those who eat oysters.
Personally, I find for my dietary pleasures oysters ranking pretty much down
there with mud--For myself, me eating oysters is repulsive.  I have, on the
other hand, been to many shin-dings where oysters were served and I didn't
really notice others partaking.  Is much like beer--I find beer to be repugnant
to my taste buds--makes me want to throw up just 'cause of the taste.  But I
don't notice, or even care to notice that all my friends love beer.

Now sex, imho, isn't a 'spectator sport' (though I'm sure the exhibitionists
think it is), so I don't frequent places and parties where explicit sexual
contact is displayed openly.  That's just the kind of crowd I choose to hang
around.  That said, whilst walking by the lake the other day, there were a few
couples, out of the various hundreds of couples I passed during my walkabout,
that were holding hands and, *gasp!*, were the same sex!!

Whatever.

I hope someday that these occurances become so 'background noise that they won't
even be worth mentioning in a little ancedote like this...

(...) No, they think it's performance art. Voyeurs think it's a spectator sport. (20 years ago, 18-Sep-04, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
