What does this term mean?

posts would also have to be pulled off as well.

Just to be clear, cancelling posts without prior request by the author is
exceedingly rare here (it has happened one time in the entire history of the
site and that was to avoid legal action and was done when there appeared to be
no other recourse after much trying to avoid it, as I understand it).

Its rather
hypocritical to be tolerant (read approving)

I do not read tolerant == approving, and I think you make an unhelpful
equality if you do.
I tolerate a *lot* of things that I do not approve of. Any behaviour that does
not violate the rights of others, even if massively self destructive (which
sexual orientation is NOT) is fine by me.

of only those people who are
tolerant of you, and intolerant of those you feel are intolerant of you.
Basically this is a kindergarten mindset of Ill like you if you like me,
but Ill hate you if you hate me. Welcome to the new tolerance.

Thats rather a poor spin to put on it.
I dont care for intolerance of things that I tolerate. Ill tolerate it, as
long as its merely opinion. But if that intolerance shades over from opinion
into action that deprives the rights of those the intolerant person doesnt
tolerate, then I dont tolerate it.
The KKK can hold whatever asinine opinions they like, privately, or even
publicly, if expressed peacably, but when they shade over into harassing people
or burning crosses, they have crossed a line.
I have to say when I went to bed last night I was rather pleased and impressed
with the course of this discussion overall. Rather more use of profanity than I
prefer, or that the ToS allows for, but in general, quite well reasoned opinions
and quite civil discourse.
Im not sure I feel quite as good this morning, some of the newer posts have
seemed to take a less tolerant bent and Im not pleased by that. To a certain
extent, it may be moot anyway.
